301 Moved Permanently

The resource has a new permanent URL, given in the Location header. Clients and search engines should use the new URL from now on.

3xx · Redirection

Typical causes

A site moving to a new domain, restructured paths, or an HTTP-to-HTTPS redirect. Historically, browsers turn a redirected POST into a GET; use 308 when the method must survive.

On Bex

Redirect rules on a Bex static site answer with 301. Rewrites serve the destination file instead, with no redirect.
